Rooted in the The Five Element Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this program guides you through the natural cycle of the seasons from Spring to Summer - Late Summer - Autumn and Winter - supporting body, mind, and spirit in rhythm with nature’s flow.
Spring heralds a season of rejuvenation and expansion, linked to the Wood Element and the energy systems of the liver and gallbladder. The exercises within this springtime flow foster revitalization by releasing tension stored in ligaments and tendons. This presents an ideal opportunity to clear blockages and revitalize our life energy.
Summer heralds a season of expansion and resonating with the Fire Element and vital energy channels such as heart, small intestine, pericardium, and triple warmer systems. The sun’s brilliance illuminates nature’s zenith, inspiring growth and vitality.
Late summer represents a season of nourishment and connects to the Earth Element which vital energy channels are Stomach and Spleen. The Earth helps to provide us with abundance, grounding and stable soil. Our passage here on Earth will walk us hundreds of thousands of miles through an infinite timeline…
Autumn is the season to relinquish and shed what is no longer essential, initiating an inward energetic transformation. Aligning with the Metal Element and the energy systems the lung and large intestine, it's a perfect moment to strengthen the Wei Qi—an energy force field in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which protects us from harmful influences.
Winter is the time for reflection and our energies naturally flow inward. This period is associated with the Water Element and the energy system of the kidneys and bladder.
The exercises in this flow combine Qi Gong movements that help promote energy flow in the kidney + bladder energy system and help cultivate the feelings of gratitude and calm.
