As we transition into autumn, the energy of the Metal element becomes dominant in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This season is all about refinement and letting go—just as nature sheds its leaves, we too are called to release what no longer serves us. The Metal element governs both the Lungs and the Large Intestine, representing the processes of inhaling new life and exhaling what is no longer needed.
In the Lungs, we find our connection to the world around us, through breath and inspiration. They are responsible for taking in the pure and exhaling the impure, helping to protect us from illness and fostering clarity and focus. On an emotional level, the Lungs are associated with grief and sadness, yet also with the potential for a deep, luminous clarity when we release what we’ve been holding onto.
The Large Intestine, in its own way, supports this letting go by clearing out physical waste and emotions, allowing room for new energy, ideas, and experiences.
Through the practices of my YoQi Autumn Flow program, we’ll explore ways to harmonize and strengthen the Metal element, helping you balance Lung and Large Intestine energy. With the practice of Yoga and Qigong, Breathwork and meditations we balance the autumn energy. YoQi Autumn Flow offers a holistic approach to align the essence of the season. You’ll learn to cultivate a deeper sense of inner clarity and connection, while clearing space—both physically and emotionally—during this reflective time of year.
The YoQi Program caters to individuals of all age groups and physical capacities, with a particular emphasis on aiding those with previous injuries and discomfort. The exercises are gentle and calming, offering relief from stress and tension.
The YoQiFlow program seamlessly integrates potent elements from Yoga, Qi Gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Breathwork, delivering the well-known benefits associated with these healing arts. These include enhanced vitality, flexibility, fluidity, joint mobility, balance, and mental clarity.
