Grounding Meditation
There comes a day when summer feels as though it has finally burnt itself out. From the Fire of high summer, we start to descend back to the earth. Because the season of Late Summer “EARTH”, is itself a transition, and as with all transitions, there is either a feeling of liking it to end or hating it.
Integrating into the Earth Element
Earth is unique out of the Five Elements, as all other four have a direction of movement. Wood is moving upwards, Fire is outwards, Metal is downwards, and Water is inwards. Earth acts as an axis or a centre around which all the other Elements move. We see this expressed at all levels of manifestation.
At a physical level the organs are Spleen and Stomach, which are central for digestion and are in the centre of the body. Emotionally, Earth wants to mediate and to connect others together.
As a cosmic level it provides the pivotal point of balance between the heavens and the mundane world.
Two significant qualities of Earth, those of nourishment and stability. The Late Summer has the qualities of nurturance, abundance, fullness and ripeness align naturally to the time of harvest, that time of the year when the energy is neither rising (Fire) nor falling (Metal).
Cultivating Emotional Health during Late Summer
At this time of the year, the season is calling us back home to nourish and repair ourselves. When we are out of balance, we might worry obsessively and go around in pointless circles unable to find a clear path. We may over process thoughts and actions and give out too much for our own good. When the Earth element is balanced we feel replenished, we can give out love, sympathy and show contentment.
With the practice of Yoga and Qigong, we balance the late summer energy. YoQi Late Summer flow offers a holistic approach to align the essence of the season. Through mindful movement, breathwork, self-care acupressure, and meditation, the participant can tap into the vitality of the Earth element and centre, become stable and cultivate a sense of inner balance.
The YoQi Program caters to individuals of all age groups and physical capacities, with a particular emphasis on aiding those with previous injuries and discomfort. The exercises are gentle and calming, offering relief from stress and tension.
The YoQiFlow program seamlessly integrates potent elements from Yoga, Qi Gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Breathwork, delivering the well-known benefits associated with these healing arts. These include enhanced vitality, flexibility, fluidity, joint mobility, balance, and mental clarity.
Chose the moment of your day at your convenience where you carve out time and space to begin again longing into your body, mind spirit and all life circumstances.
A yoga mat, it would be useful to have 2 bocks and a bolster.
Together, they can enhance physical health, reduce stress, increase vitality, and promote a sense of inner peace and harmony. Integrating both practices allows the practitioners to access a wider range of benefits and deepen their mind- body connection.
